A Fairytale Wedding.

Joanne Kriel and Alex Ardizzone - 3rd Jan 2014
I don't like to be selfish, one hundred percent would have been greedy, but I did have at least 80% of all the people I love most dearly in the world, under one roof!!
This fabulous family reunion was for the wedding of our daughter Joanne to a wonderfully kind man Alex Ardizzone, a man with a delightful sense of humor!!
It is every mother's dream to be at the wedding of her daughter and apart from being the most magical wedding ever, I was the happiest Mother of the Bride in all the world.
It was an exhausting two week wedding spree, with Christmas, Boxing Day, a Hens party, a bucks party, and New Year all culminating in THE WEDDING on 3 January 2014.
As the families gathered from all quarters of the world, more houses were needed, more people- movers were needed. Great festivity was produced from many hospitable Perth People, and a grateful thanks to them all.
Alex purchased 200 oysters and copious bottles of champers, and it seems every five minutes he was shucking vast quantities of the delicious shell fish, and a wonderful party always ensued!!
The Hen's party was an outstanding success, we ate Indian food, were festooned with henna tattoos, and learnt a fabulous Bollywood Dance wearing divine and colorful Bollywood costumes and jewelry. The stag party boys were tame by comparison!!
The wedding ceremony was conducted in the Scented Gardens in Sir James Mitchell Park adjoining the Swan River. A delightful shady arbor, framed by hanging jasmine vines, in which Sandy erected a divine floral arch beautifully decorated with tulle, roses, orchids and pearls. Joanne looked like a Fairytale Bride in the most glorious champagne colored dress and veil, exquisitely embroidered with tiny vintage gold seed pearls. She was attended by six beautiful bridesmaids in full length Dusky Rose Pink gowns.
The reception was at The Boatshed Restaurant a hundred meters away where a most tasteful and elegant banquet was laid for 115 excited people. The backdrop of the wedding dinner was the deep indigo Swan River and the magnificently lit Perth City skyline.
All in all a fairytale wedding for a beautiful couple with a whole lifetime of happiness and laughter ahead of them.
