The farmer would provide 4-6 sheep to run as a flock and the couple to utilise the lamb/mutton as desired. He will also provide 2 dairy cows. Zesa charges will be paid by the farmer. In return, the farmer asks that the couple care-take the homestead and surrounds, he does not expect the couple to oversee the farming activities whatsoever. The systems can be radio linked to any of the Security Companies who offer the service, and two of the companies are now offering a telephone link too. The telephone link units have an advantage in that the exact location of an intrusion is relayed by the system and also other features like smoke detectors, medical assistance calls, duress calls etc. Currently a system with 5 passive Infra red detectors is approximately 1.8 m Z$. That would something like 3 bedrooms, a lounge and kitchen. Obviously there is more to the system than that but it gives a rough idea of the cost. The process is meant to stop the cancer in her leg from spreading. But five months ago the only machine used by patients in three provinces - Matabeleland, Masvingo and Midlands - broke down and there is no foreign currency to import spares. Mpilo Hospital has also run out of chemotherapy drugs." We would add that it appears there is also no technician to repair, no physicist to calibrate, and no radiographers to operate the machine, and only a temporary acting oncologist to prescribe the radiation IF the machine was available.
