Fiona MacDonald is a mezzo who studied at the Royal Academy of Music where she won several of the principal singing prizes before going on to the Royal Northern College of Music to study with Robert Alderson. She has also taken part in numerous masterclasses including those of Dame Elizabeth Schwarzkopf, Nicolai Gedda, Dame Gwyneth Jones, Geoffrey Parsons and John Tomlinson. Fiona has appeared extensively in opera singing in Cavalleria Rusticana, The Marriage of Figaro, Carmen, Madame Butterfly and Die Walküre. She has recently sung both the role of Witch and Mother in Hansel and Gretel for Opera North, Jezibaba in Rusalka for Stowe Opera and the Third Lady in The Magic Flute for Opera Project, as well as the mezzo role in the newly commissioned children’s opera by John Browne, Babette’s Feast for the Royal Opera House Education Programme at the Linbury Studio Theatre, Royal Opera House. Earlier this year she sang Suzuki in London City Opera’s production of Madame Butterfly, which toured the United States for three months and was produced by Columbia Artists. Check to see how their health (physical, emotional, mental) is; check to see if they need anything done for them; be a substitute daughter and give regular accurate reports on their well being. This is the service that I am offering to provide for a small fee. I have worked with old people and have experience of their needs. As a daughter, I know how important it is to know exactly how your parent is and how difficult it is to know from a distance. The problem that I am facing is in advertising this service. She read your appeal in the Morning Mirror. Yesterday Justin was presented with the child's wheelchair, well, we were all in tears, I had to run upstairs and get a toilet roll for us all. (no tissues) It was the most wonderful experience to see this little boy receive the chair from Michelle Keefs children and his face was a picture. STABLE MANAGER I am not looking for a stable manager, I do have a two-roomed cottage in Burnside for which I would like the right tenant. It is VERY secure as I have a guard at night and it is inside a secure fence and I am linked to armed response.
