Desperate Plea For Help For Tyler Joseph O'Reilly A Baby Boy In Urgent Need Of Heart Operation - Son of Trevor and Charmaine O'Reilly and grandson to Kevin and the late Wendy O'Reilly We are desperately trying to raise money for a baby boy, Tyler Joseph O'Reilly, who was born on Wednesday, 10th September 2003 at the Avenues Clinic in Harare, Zimbabwe. He was born with only the right side of his little heart, and is fighting for his life. This is a very rare but very complex and serious situation. The pediatrician says that there is a hole, which is currently pumping the blood into his body. It is this that is keeping him alive. This hole would naturally close within a week of being born, however the doctors have put him on medication to try to keep the hole open, so that he can travel to the Cardiatric Clinic in Sunninghill, South Africa, to have a series of operations. The first of operation is the most difficult, taking approximately 6 hours to perform and costing approximately R450,000.00. The pediatrician, Mr Charles Bannerman, says there are 3 operations that have to be carried out in South Africa as there are no facilities in Zimbabwe to cope with this kind of problem. Tyler needs is a 'Hypoplastic left heart' and this operation will be carried out on Monday 22nd September - God willing and finances permitting. The parents of this little baby are born and bred Bulawayo-based Zimbabweans, and tragically cannot afford to give their baby the operations he so desperately needs in order to live. We are appealing to anyone and everyone, if anything can be donated at all, to help us save this little baby's life. Any amount is desperately needed and would be greatly appreciated - lots of smaller amounts add up to a larger one. If it is God's will that Tyler is not to remain with us, and the operations are not carried out, all donated money will be returned with great appreciation of the kindness you have shown. Please clearly mark that the donation is for Tyler O'Reilly Foreign-currency donations can be sent to: Account Name: Baby Tyler O'Reilly Trust Zimbabwean donations to be sent to: Children's Heart Foundation OR Children's Heart Foundation For any queries, please contact: Mrs Paula Maughan in Bulawayo OR Mrs Karen FitzPatrick in Bulawayo OR Mrs Dee Scallan in Harare If you cannot help us financially, please would you join with us in a Novena for Tyler to St Gerard, which we have attached to this email. All prayers are desperately needed for this little baby and, with God, all things are possible. Thanking you in advance for all your donations and prayers. STABLE MANAGER REQUIRED I am losing my stable manager and I am looking for somebody who would move into the cottage and who could help out with a few supervisory duties especially when I go away. In return I would offer the cottage at a very nominal rental. I suppose the sort of person I am looking for is maybe a dispossessed farmer type--probably elderly-- with some ability to oversee the work force. The cottage is not posh--two rooms only with a shower and loo.But it is pretty secure,It is fenced and I have a security guard and access to a response security firm. There would be no problem with a dog or cat or two, as long as they didn't hassle the cats that I have . There also would be opportunities to garden.Anyone interested could phone me on 242882 preferably early mornings or in the evening.
