THANK GOD FOR PEOPLE WHO CARE ...
The Wilson Family at Chipangali have cared for our wildlife for 35 years. They have saved, adopted & cared for countless animals, carnivors, antelope, rhino, birds, elephant, monkeys, snakes .... anything that needs a home is never turned away.
They are finding times desperately hard (22/8/2008) with the food shortages and economic problems.
They are trying to find scrap veggies at most places and if it wasn't for Ascot Spar, Hillside Spar and Willsgrove Vegetables, they would have a real problem. They are busy making their own rhino food at the moment which they are also feeding to all the antelopes, the ducks, etc.
Our carnivores are our biggest problem at the moment. With our phones being almost non existent, we are not getting the required meat and so we have resorted to grinding our own maize meal or buying it when we can - and cooking and mixing it with the not so nice meat - to try and feed to the wild dogs and some of the lions who are willing to eat it.
They need YOUR help with donations of meat, grain and vegetables.
Also we are going to hopefully be sending up to 17 lions to a very caring NON HUNTING conservationist in South Africa, who is trying to breed white lions with the Chipangali lions who have exceptionally beautiful manes.
