THIS WILL SEE THE INTRODUCTION OF EIGHT HOUR WATER CUTS IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS, EASTERN AND SOUTHERN SUBURBS WILL GO WITHOUT WATER FOR EIGHT HOURS ON SCHEDULED DAYS, WHILE WESTERN SUBURBS WILL GO WITHOUT WATER FOR UP TO FOUR HOURS DAILY.
LOWER NCEMA IS EXPECTED TO BE DE-COMMISSIONED IN AUGUST AND INYANKUNI IN OCTOBER. INZISA IS EXPECTED TO PROVIDE WATER UNTIL THE NEXT RAINY SEASON, BUT THE CAPACITY IS CERTAINLY NOT ENOUGH TO SERVE THE NEEDS OF THE CITY.

BPO CHORUS
The BPO Chorus will be Singing for Pleasure on FRIDAY 29 JUNE. The programme will comprise songs from the shows including such favourites as The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, South Pacific and The King and I as well as a selection of Andrew Lloyd Webber's greatest hits. There is no advance booking and unreserved seats at the door will be $20 000.00. There will be the usual bar so come early and get in the mood!
And don't worry about power cuts. The Academy already has emergency lighting in place in the hall and is making arrangements to supplement this. All concerts at the Academy will take place as advertised despite the cuts!

HILLSIDE DAMS CLEAN UP WEEKEND
Venue: Hillside Dams

Purpose: The Hillside Dams Conservancy Trust conservancy awareness campaign continues. These two days earmark the continuation of the BIG clean up & restoration campaign by the Trust to Restore the Hillside Dams to its former glory as a community based project. The clean up will take place on the morning of both days, leaving you the opportunity to enjoy the afternoon family orientated activities available.
Family Orientated Activities:
- Security will be provided by the Trust
- We urge you to bring along your family & gardening tools to make your contribution on the two mornings towards our primary objective which is to secure, restore where necessary, and preserve the natural environment that is the Hillside Dams in this co- ordinated effort.
