10 DAYS OF NON STOP PRAYER
From 6pm Thursday 25 May to 6am 4 June, Bulawayo is gathering to pray! NON-STOP! For 10DAYS! All over the town. As Bulawayo Baptist Church, we have been allocated the following times and venues:
6pm Friday 26 May to 6pm Saturday 27 May at Selbourne Park
6pm Friday 2 June to 6pm Saturday 3 June at Victory Fellowship.
We are responsible for providing WATCHMEN for these days. Each Watchman will be allocated a 4 hour slot. During those 4 hours that person will be responsible to oversee the room. (eg insuring the rules outlined in each venue are complied with); and fill in any unallocated times in the prayer room or slots where the assigned people do not arrive. Basically just to keep things running smoothly...
SO I NEED 12 WATCHMEN TO COVER OUR TWO DAYS.
(Please note, for security reasons, only men will be allowed to function as Watchmen from 6pm to 6am. Ladies can sign up from 6am to 6pm as Watchmen.) In addition to Watchmen, each day is divided into one hour slots for people to sign up to pray. We would like to start filling up the days indicated above first, but if you are not able to make it then you are free to sign up at any other time at any venue. This time of prayer is such an indication of God's work in our nation. He is calling us all to humble ourselves and pray. Will you obey?

"A Group of forty four "Steam Train Enthusiasts" and two Tour Leaders will be arriving in Bulawayo from Europe on Thursday 10 August 2006 for four days.
They will be riding and photographing various steam hauled trains in and around Bulawayo. They have expressed interest in purchasing souvenirs, "railwayana" and "memorabilia".

The Fifth Bulawayo Music Festival (14-18 June)

Booking for season tickets for the Fifth Bulawayo Music Festival is open and bookings will be accepted either by post or in person at the Zimbabwe Academy of Music. E-mail reservations will be made on receipt of a booking on the assumption that payment will follow promptly.
The festival will run from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 June 2006, with an opening concert on the evening of Wednesday 14 June and there will be 17 concerts in the classical programme as well as the usual 'Meet the Performer' interviews. The performers will include Benjamin Nabarro (violin), Ania Safonova (violin/viola), Matthew Sharp (cello), Jeanette Micklem (piano), Leslie Howard (piano), Michael Brownlee Walker (piano), Cherith Keen (soprano), Dilys Lloyd (mezzo-soprano) and Catherine Stirling (violin).
There will also be a second, integrated programme in a second venue at the Academy where a whole variety of performances will be promoted, many of them centred on Isigodlo Arts. There will be African music and dance, jazz, the Harare Youth Orchestra, Arundel Choir and other young musicians as well as non-musical attractions including an art exhibition, acrobatic dancing and poetry readings. The two complimentary programmes will offer non- stop entertainment from 10.00 in the morning to 10.00 at night. There will also be picnic areas and snacks, drinks etc.on sale throughout the day.
Two season tickets are available, one for the five evening concerts, the other for the eleven (or so!) daytime concerts. The cost of the tickets is:
Evening season ticket (five concerts): $2 000 000 Full season ticket $4 000 000 However, these prices will rise on 15 May in line with inflation and our anticipated costs. The season ticket will also give admission to events in the second performance area so it represents a real bargain. Booking for individual concerts has already opened.

A main dining room, entertainments area and viewing platform graces a prominent kopje nearby overlooking one of the dams. A perfect place to observe the birds, animals and trees at dusk or first light, in peaceful solitude. The entertainments area boasts the cleanest, brightest kitchen I have ever seen and what really proves it's worth is the chef. A great guy with a sense of humour and an equally impressive history. Spending nine years at Nesbit Castle in Bulawayo, he has learnt all the tricks and specialises in wild game dishes from which the farm is self sufficient. With business in mind a fully equipped conference centre went up where groups of school children or business men can gather for a refreshingly soothing environment. Finally just to mention the rest of the buildings on the farm. A little away from everything nestles the Greens very sweet three bedroom house and separate games room in shady hide away garden, a little overgrown at the moment, but full of promise. There are two separate rooms for Shadreck and super cook. And finally somewhere on the farm, over rivers and dales, is the old farm house and stables which have been neglected over time and made us think of how much sweat and tears and love went into the building of this vibrant place.
