SOLAR COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS
Due to the wonderful Rainy Season we are experiencing, conditions are not very good for Solar Cooking. We have, therefore, decided to postpone our monthly Demonstrations for the public until the weather is more predictable. We have been involved in the investigations of road accidents for many years, whilst in the BSAP, and after for Insurance companies. It is remarkable how the general public, having been involved in an accident, accept the findings, of investigations, which at the very best can only be described as inadequate. I went for an early morning walk around the edge of Kumalo and had my heart so lifted to see just how beautiful the grass is. Even those who have not cut grass outside of their properties have amazing wheat- field-like grass, all now with their seed heads and of course the bird life is phenomenal. The grass recovery everywhere, because of all the rain we've had, is quite amazing and so beautiful, the variety of species incredible. And of course, the smell is divine. 4 months ago, Bulawayo was a dust bowl, nature is so forgiving. Margaret, please tell everyone they have to get out there, take a walk or a drive and just look if only to realise and appreciate what a wonderful beautiful country we live in. D.B.

It is probably a fact that it is what people say that can make us feel down, more than just about anything else. Every day we all bear witness to those that insist on talking negatively. We know what the consequence will be; insecurity, hurt, disappointment, sense of loss, hopelessness and even despair as well as many other negative emotions. Rather consider how we make people stronger, happier, and more secure. It is the state of mind that will determine if we are to get through this rocky path of transition to democracy and prosperity. That state of mind must be defiant and resolute and built out of positive and proactive conditioning. It's a choice!!!
