It's a good idea to phone in first before you go out as sometimes Amos is out planting trees for customers. I can meet you there. Now is the time to PLANT A TREE. We have had wonderful rains and the ground is ready and waiting, the trees are looking fantastic and just needing new, caring homes. You really need to come and see them - the range on offer is big and varied! There are shade trees, screen trees, fruit trees, flowering trees, trees suitable for patio containers and for large and small gardens Our prices will unfortunately have to go up in January so now is the time!

Good Morning! Firstly many thanks to you all for your support last Friday at the Cultural Food Festival - Narrow Gate & Mustard Seed Communities were extremely grateful for the donations. This is an outstanding organisation that, amongst many other services, feeds thousands of children on a weekly basis and has drastically changed the lives of many.
As you may know they are hosting a Christmas party for over 1000 orphans on the 22 December! Their biggest problem is that they are short of about 800 toys!! Your junk may well be a childs treasure, so please see what you can find to support this event. You can drop your old toys at The Lavender Bay or at Marys Restaurant. If you have free time on the 22nd and would like to give a hand theyd love the support. I know Jackie will need help dispensing candy floss to a thousand sweet starved kids! The Bulawayo Publicity Association desperately needs your help in order to keep operating. We are trying to raise funds by running a raffle. The tickets are only $10 000 each and there are 10 really good prizes which include:

APPEAL FOR 'THE WAY' CLINIC AT THE CHURCH OF THE ASCENSION ,KENT RD ,HILLSIDE
This Clinic has been operating for 3 years to serve the needs of the poor and destitute in the area. It is run by a team of volunteers-two doctors,two nursing sisters with help from other nurses when they are off duty ,and several helpers. The number of patients has risen considerably over the last year ,exceeds 100 now and then so consequently more help is needed not least because one of the sisters and one doctor is going on leave shortly . The Clinic operates on Wednesdays from 10am to 1.00 or 2.00pm depending on the demand in the Parish Room which is entered from the church car-park .
Our Appeal is for doctors and nurses/retired nurses who can give a few hours of their time on Wednesday mornings. We would also welcome gifts of medicines,bandages,pill boxes or anything else that might be useful in this service.

Christmas Fair Sunday 11th December
Many thanks to the public and stall holders for rallying together at such short notice. Because of having to cancel the garden venue and relocate to a covered venue, cost were greatly increased. In spite of this, thanks to the great support of Bulawayo, we were able to cover costs and to make a donation of $6,000,000.00 to Barbara Burrell.

The Bulawayo Publicity Association would like to apologise for the wrong information regarding the price of the raffle tickets. The correct price is $100 000. Any inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted. We would also like to tell the public that we have extended our draw to January 2006.

HE HAS WORKED AS A TELEPHONIST AT A GOVERNMENT PARASTATAL FOR TWENTY FOUR LOYAL YEARS WHERE THEY HAVE MADE A DESK WHICH IS ESPECIALLY ADAPTED TO HIS NEEDS.

HE IS A VERY PROUD MAN BUT HAS TO RELY UPON ANYONE WHO HAS THE TIME TO PUSH HIM UP QUITE A STEEP INCLINE EVERY DAY ON HIS WAY HOME. HE OFTEN HAS TO STOP AND WAIT FOR A KIND PERSON TO GIVE HIM A PUSH. HE REALLY DESERVES A BREAK AND WOULD BE MOST GRATEFUL FOR SOME ASSISTANCE IN PROCURING AN ELECTRIC WHEELCHAIR.
