Congratulations must go to the police in catching hijackers from two separate hijackings in Bulawayo. As to the details on the hijackings, I have not been approached by the victims, so do not have first hand information on their actual incidences. The police informed me of the arrests, lets hope they are put away without bail and that all papers are correct to send them to jail for a long time.

CARS

Will members of the public stop doing the following which I still see going on:
1. Parking on the verge of various roads, chatting to friends outside of their cars. Are you wanting trouble?
2. Why do people still leave their vehicles running, drivers door open wide whilst they are either opening or closing gates? One incident recently took place just like this, where 2 men casually walked down the road, and jumped into the victims car and drove off. So easy. Trust NO ONE walking around your area!
3. People going to the bank and withdrawing huge amounts and then driving to another area before depositing the money where they want, thereby causing the criminals who have followed them from the bank to take advantage of the situation. Again, companies, do not let women or elderly employees go by themselves to the bank to deposit or withdrawing huge amounts , you are putting their lives in danger let alone losing your takings for the day or week, or salaries.

HOMES
As a member of the public, if you hear shooting taking place near your home, the best thing is to report it to the police. This week on Monday night, there were gun shots fired, and the police were called and walked the area in Hillside with Tracker Dogs ALL night. So do report it, it could just save your neighbours or your lives from these criminal elements that are lurking around.

Thank you to the members of public who have contacted me and thanked me for trying to put a stop to all the rumour mongering. I doubt it will stop, but maybe lessen greatly if we all pull together on this one.
