CHARLIE DAVIES A sad day today. We have just heard of the sudden passing of a special friend Charlie Davies. We send our love and sympathy to Heather, Luanne and Marc and all his grandchildren and family. He was so exceptionally proud of you all. He will be missed by his manny many friends and especially by his family. Rest peacefully our friend. Jeanne Louth We are sad to advise the death of Jeanne Wallis Louth. Fy high where there are no shadows and no pain Sympathy to Leah Louth, Charlie, Brian and all Jeanne's family. In Memoriam Michael George Jeffreys, much loved son of Ray and Joan Jeffreys and brother to David Jeffreys, died earlier this year, on 27 March 2020 in Lincoln, England. Between 1975 and 1980, George was a student at Falcon College, near Esogidini. After a short spell in the mine laboratory, at Selebi, Botswana, and a course at Unisa, he took a BA in Economics at the University of Natal, graduating in 1987. His last years in Africa were spent as a teacher at Cyrene Mission, near Figtree. In 1992, he moved to England, where he was employed for many years by HMRC. He retired in July 2019. George particularly remembered the staff at Cyrene Mission with much fondness, among them Father Neil Pierce (then Head, who passed away on 24 April 2010), his wife, Christine Pierce, Frederick Nohl (Head of religious studies), Gail Altman (who taught art) Francis and Blandina Yeeda, Inge Kiesbye and Kai Bruhne. He is survived by his brother, David Jeffreys, who can be reached at: agapanthus26@gmail.com
