Address is 1A Christ Church Rd, Beckenham BR3 3LE UK. ELSPETH PARRY I mourn the passing of Elspeth (Elspy to me) She and I grew up together in Bulawayo from the age of 2 yrs. We went to separate schools in Senior School, and then diverged after that. She became a Physiotherapist and married and moved to England. Her younger daughter became my surrogate daughter and then we were reunited in 1982 when she was employed to run the Workman's Compensation Rehab Centre. Elspeth and I roamed the Matopos together for many years discovering forgotten or unknown caves and paintings, and she wrote a book chronicling many of those...'Legacy on the Rocks'. After that she conducted a survey of the Southern Ground Hornbills, now gravely endangered. This work has been chronicled in Ostrich Ornithological Publications. Throughout her life she retained fond memories of the Matabeleland bush, Girl Guiding and the Trade Fair 'Farmers Den', Hillside Presbyterian Church, many years with close friends as a Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary International, teaching at the Bulawayo Tech College and Convent Girls High and singing with the Choir at the Academy of Music. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Claire (Arnold, Andrew and James) and her Son, Simon (Kirsty and Meghan) Her funeral will be held at 2pm on the 6th February 2019 at the Hertford Baptist Church, England Simon Miller-Cranko millercranko@hotmail.com
