Independent and non-profit making, it is financed by a small grant from the City Council and membership subscriptions from commercial, industrial firms and tourist companies. This Association can be said to be the window of Bulawayo and as such is heavily involved in all aspects of its life and its main objective is to promote Bulawayo world-wide to the benefit of all who live, work and do business in Bulawayo. The more people that visit Bulawayo with the resultant increase in expenditure, the greater the need for businesses to enlarge premises, increase staff, improve facilities, etc. Naturally, we cannot do all this work without the financial assistance of our members. The association also initiates, organises and administers an increase in tourism, exposure, awareness and development of Bulawayo for the benefit of local business owners and the community at large. To a greater or smaller degree everyone benefits from tourism and the more support we get, the more effectively we can promote the city. We greatly appreciate your decision to join the Association.
