She departed this world peacefully on Friday 27th July 2018 and will be sorely missed. 8) Bulawayo News Dear Friend. In August the initial judging for My Beautiful Home takes place. The homes are the painted huts of Matopos and the surrounding wards. This competition brings benefit to the community and to Bulawayo itself through tourism. However we need volunteers to participate in way-pointing the huts on GPS and photographing the exteriors and interiors of the huts. We ask for a day of your time to facilitate this. You would need a high clearance vehicle, a GPS and a camera or smart phone. Some funding is available for fuel but you have the choice of using the funding or not. Please join us and extend this invitation/request to others who might be interested in enhancing our locality, offering a service to the community and preserving the tradition of painting huts with natural materials and colours.
