His end was as he had lived life, with dignity and courage a true gentleman from the old school. So deeply sorry to hear that our dear friend and colleague John Aldridge has passed away, while his wife of 55 years, Marianne remains critically ill in hospital. Goodbye dear John, 'may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest'.

8) Bulawayo News BULAWAYO PUBLICITY ASSOCIATION Easter is upon us and many people will be wondering what they can do over the holidays. Both the Natural History Museum and Railway Museums will be open, the latter from 9:30a.m. to 4p.m. Then of course, there is Matopos and Khami Ruins, which has become very popular as a picnic spot, as well as Hillside Dams. LUNKA LODGE some 12kms away on the Johannesburg Road is ideal for a day in the open with braais areas, clean toilets, fishing in the dam. There are 4 chalets but visitors need to supply their own bedding and other equipment. Entrance to the lodge area is $5 per person. Please contact MRS HERBST on O772 602 125 for a booking. ZITF starts on the 24th April and runs until 28th April. The good news is that a group of international investors will be exhibiting at the Fair. Accommodation should not be too much of a problem as many guest lodges have opened this year and they all look attractive. For those of you who did not know, MBCA is now rebranded as NEDBANK ZIMBABWE. The Managing Director is Charity Jinya, the Finance officer Anthony Makonese, the Executive head of Marketing Dedrey Mutimutema and the Board Chairman Willard Zireva, all well-known figures in the business/ banking world. Extra City coach service is a new scheduled service which operates between Harare- Bulawayo- Victoria Falls. The Blog might give you more of an idea, but the relay makes it a truly achievable event. 6 people share the 500kms, walking at about 3kms a segment or split, 4 times in a day. There is one blog on last years, and lots of pics to inspire people/ We NEED Bulawayo to walk for THEIR SPCA! Last year Mutare supporters raised for ours about $15000. A further approximately $15k to 17k was raised, and (I am not the bean counter) I think Bulawayo got about $3400.... Some they raised themselves but the majority came from a category we created called Least Funded, and we distributed to other SPCAs. I sure, if prompted, more would look at the website and contact us for help and encouragement. And all funds could go to your SPCA. Please dont ask if I have asked your SPCA direct...
