4) Condolences/In Memoriam/Wreath Funds Ronnie Vaghmaria It is with sadness that Stragglers Cricket Club hears of the news of the passing Mr Ronnie Vaghmaria. To many a cricketer Ronnie was known as ' Ronnie Walker' A legend in his contribution to Maccabi and Garrison cricket clubs. On behalf of Stragglers Cricket Club the Chairlady, Committee and Members extend their deepest condolences To the Vaghmaria family. Jimmy Teasdale has been part of our lives since forever...such a good friend, a brilliant Pharmacist and a truly great person so will be sorely missed by his family and others. I for one will mourn him here but can now imagine him sorting out the rugby 'ailments' with Tuc and setting the world to rights. My love to Cathy and Paul and his extended family as they battle through their loss. Love to you Jean Tuckey N.Z.

7) Bulawayo News Bulawayo Morning Mirror - The legality of spot fines and impounding of vehicles The headlines in today's media are understandably attracting a lot of attention. The Herald, Newsday and others are reporting the comments made by High Court judge, Justice Francis Bere, that spot fines and the impounding of vehicles for non-payment, is illegal. The full Herald article can be read here: http://www.bigsky.co.zw/blog/2015/february/10/spot-fines-illegal-high-court-judge The advice Big Sky has been given, including from the spokesperson for ZRP Traffic, Inspector Chigome, is that Justice Bere made his remarks at the opening ceremony of the Masvingo Circuit Court, and do not represent a court ruling. Accordingly, there is no change 'on the ground'. ZRP personnel will continue to follow instructions, and there is currently no alternative to 'spot fines' (Deposit Fines). We feel the following advice, recently circulated, remains relevant: OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO MOTORISTS WHO FEEL THEY HAVE BEEN TREATED UNFAIRLY: A motorist can decline to admit guilt by referring to the warning at the top of the Admission of Guilt form (Z.R.P. N.TFC) that provides the option of appearing in magistrate's court. However, a good starting point is speaking to the officer-in- charge of the roadblock, who being more senior might treat the issue with discretion and experience. If not, the motorist can request to speak to the officer-in-charge of the police station from which the roadblock originated. At all times calm and courteous behaviour will contribute significantly to a fair outcome. If the motorist decides to pay the deposit fine but wishes to take the matter further, when the ZRP member completes the Admission of Guilt form, the motorist should politely request that the Charge (Section and Statutory enactment) field, be completed legibly and with the relevant information. It is important to note that Form 265, providing the facility of paying within seven days, is NOT available as an option. Coconut oil is having a moment - and not just in stir fries and baked goods. This slightly-sweet oil is a powerhouse that does everything from remove sticky labels to soothe cuts. With a jar running around $10, there are so many uses for this unique ingredient around your home, you may not even use it for cooking.
