Tourism Without Boundaries

Welcome to the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area
The KAZA TFCA is enormous, larger than Germany and Austria combined and nearly twice as large as the United Kingdom. It lies in the Kavango and Zambezi river basins where Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe converge.
Jewels in the crown of this spectacular array of protected areas are the 15,000 km2 Okavango Delta, an explosion of green and blue in parched landscape - the world's largest inland delta, and the awe inspiring tumbling cataracts of the Victoria Falls, a World Heritage Site and one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

Angola comprises 17% of the Park, Namibia has 14%, while Zambia has 25% of the Park. which includes the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, and their adjoining game management areas. Botswana has a large slice -
30% of the park. Protected areas found within the region: Okavango Delta the Chobe-Linyanti river system and Makgadikgadi-Nxai National Park.

Zimbabwe has 14% of the park and this includes
Hwange National Park, Zambezi National Park, Victoria Falls National Park, Kazuma Pan National Park, Chizarira National Park, Matusadona National Park, Matetsi, Deka, Chete, Chirisa and Charara Safari Areas, including, Bembesi, Fuller, Gwayi, Kazuma, Mzola, Ngamo, Panda Masuwe, Sijarira and Sikumi Forests incorporating Hwange, Tsholotsho, Bulilima, Binga, Gokwe, Nyaminyami and Hurungwe Communal Lands, as well as privately held State Land and conservancies extending eastwards to Lake Kariba Recreational Park and Kariba Town.

In just five years, the KAZA programme has surged ahead in leaps and bounds. Here are just a few of our achievements:

Tourism Without Boundaries
The KAZA TFCA launched the KAZA UniVisa Pilot Project between the Republic of Zambia and Zimbabwe on 28th November 2014. This SADC initiative will be rolled out to the rest of the SADC region following success in the KAZA TFCA. The implementation of the KAZA UniVisa will mean that tourists will no longer have to apply for multiple visas, thus saving time and money and opening the doors to the free movement of tourists visiting this African wonderland.

Enhancing the wealth of wildlife and the array of beautiful landscapes is a bevy of diverse cultures offering tourists an outstandingly varied experience of regional lifestyle, heritage, arts and crafts, language, music and cuisine.
