THE CHARGE OF THE CABLE BRIGADE!

Our lives are so very different with the advent of the various mobile apparati that we are all now so totally used to.
Apart from the obvious, one real downside is that now our entire lives are revolved around 'charging'. Charging the phone, charging the iPod, charging the charger that charges!!
I sometimes feel I am going to drown in a sea of charging cables !!
Unless one is meticulous, one inevitably gets all ones cables in a mess, and one ends up searching endlessly for the correct cable.
HeeHoo is an expert in all things 'chargeable' Cameras, GPS, iPads, iPods, phones, Bose music centers, all of them require a charger and all of them are different.
Now when women rule the world, all chargers will be uniform, one charger fits all, that will be the first rule that I will make!!
HeeHoo has boxes of cables, bags of cables, all neatly annotated and marked and married to their mate, but somehow...
There are so many cables in the world, but never enough, when one visits an international airport; there are banks of charging facilities on offer for every single type of charger, cable and every conceivable adaptor from every country!
Great purple columns emitting eerie lights festoon the Dubai lounges, and everyone sits glued two feet away on the phone, iPad or iPod totally mesmerised. I can just imagine all those electromagnetic currents affecting our brains, no wonder my brain is fried living with the Gadget King - HeeHoo Must be Obeyed Instantly!!
If one sees a group of people in a mall, what exactly are they gathered around, why free charging ports of course !
Of course our life in Zim is all the more fraught thanks to ZESA !! Yes, no power for hours on end makes charging all the more poignant and super necessary !!!!
There are so many cables in our house that one-day the floor will collapse and we will fall smack into the gigantic termite nest that every Bulawayo house is perched upon!!
