MATER DEI HOSPITAL CONTINUES TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY OF BULAWAYO AND IS NOT CLOSED, AS IS THE TALK ABOUT TOWN.
THE MEDICAL COVER IN THE ACCIDENT AND EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT HAS IMPROVED TREMENDOUSLY AND THERE IS NOW TWENTY FOUR (24) HOUR COVER.
THE UPPER FLOORS OF THE HOSPITAL ARE CLOSED SIMPLY DUE TO LOW PATIENT NUMBERS AND AS A MEANS OF CONSOLIDATING STAFF.
THERE HAS BEEN THEFT OF SOME ITEMS OF FURNITURE FROM THE FIFTH FLOOR OVER THE PAST WEEKS. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RUMOUR THAT TWENTY FIVE (25) BEDS WERE STOLEN IS INCORRECT. EVERY POSSIBLE PRECAUTION HAS BEEN TAKEN TO SECURE THE FLOORS THAT ARE NOT CURRENTLY IN USE.
ALL IN-PATIENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO COMPLETE IN-PATIENT SURVEY FORMS PRIOR TO LEAVING THE HOSPITAL, AS THE BOARDS OF TRUSTEES AND MANAGEMENT WISH TO EXTEND TO THE COMMUNITY THE VERY BEST IN HEALTH CARE SERVICES.
THE STANDARD OF CARE AT MATER DEI HOSPITAL REMAINS HIGHLY SATISFACTORY. ALL PROFESSIONAL STAFF ARE GIVING THE VERY BEST OF THEMSELVES TO ENSURE THE BULAWAYO COMMUNITY IS CATERED FOR AT ALL TIMES.
